Zachary is available for private lessons (clarinet, bass clarinet, Baroque recorders, and contemporary techniques), masterclasses, lectures, and composer sessions.  

He enjoys working with a wide range of students regardless of age, experience, and ability. He’s a proud middle school band director at the Chicago Waldorf School and a doctoral student in clarinet performance at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music where he mentors first year clarinet majors. Alongside the musicians of Eighth Blackbird, he was Visiting Instructor at the University of Richmond during the 2019–20 academic year. Zachary has presented masterclasses on the clarinet, bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, chamber music, and contemporary techniques at institutions across the US, including Portland State University, Gettysburg College, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Northwestern University, University of Oklahoma, University of Richmond, and DePaul University

Zachary has premiered over 75 new works of music. He has worked closely with composers to provide essential feedback on developing material/new pieces for the clarinet, assistance with multiphonics, and general advice on writing for the clarinet.
